SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Since our inception in 2011, LFS’ success has been down to the people. From a small team of six based in London, to now a team of more than 150 split across our head office and purpose-built manufacturing facility in Kent, London-based training centre, and our Midlands hub.

Everyone’s input, experience, and effort has helped build LFS into a leading provider in passive fire protection. In thanks, we aim to support our team, and our local communities, whether that’s with sponsorships, fundraising, spreading awareness or something more unique.

SOUTHWARK TIGERS RFC

One initiative close to LFS’s heart has been ongoing support to Southwark Rugby Club. Their engagement with the club began in 2011 through annual donations, but it soon grew into something more significant.

The decision to support Southwark was deeply influenced by a personal connection. In 2008, the MD of LFS managed the refurbishment of the clubhouse, which provided the team with an insight into the club’s efforts to create a safe and positive environment for local individuals. Witnessing the staff’s dedication and the positive impact they had on the lives of young individuals left them in awe.

Southwark Tigers RFC believes every young person should have unrestricted access to well organised sports activities. We couldn’t agree more.

The club wants to remove all barriers to participation, which is why we charge no membership fees – it’s totally free for young people to join the club. To offer this opportunity to young people, the club relies on sponsors, grant providers and individual donations. This is why LFS is proud to sponsor the Southwark Tigers RFC, and we are always looking for ways to support the work they do – so if you have any ideas on how you, or your company, could help this great cause, please get in touch with Jaye@lfsfire.co.uk.

"LFS kindly provided sponsorship to our U17 team for the 2022-23 season. This allowed the club to fund the purchase of a set of shirts for the team. Many of the players had been at the club for 10+ years without ever having proper match kit. The pride they showed when wearing the kit was truly touching. Thank you LFS.”

CHRIS CALLOWAY,

CHAIRMAN OF SOUTHWARK RUGBY CLUB

HACKNEY WICK FOOTBALL CLUB & COMMUNITY

LFS sponsored Hackney Wick FC with a contribution of £5,000. This sponsorship helped support club members who faced financial constraints and enabled them to pay their subscriptions and purchase essential football kits. However, the sponsorship goes beyond financial support. LFS actively engage with Hackney Wick FC by attending careers open days, 32 Borough Cup, and sponsoring cup games.

LFS also employed three Hackney Wick FC members. Over the course of a year, it provided them with training in various aspects of the passive fire industry. This initiative aimed to equip the members with valuable skills for their personal and professional development.

LITTER PICKING AT GREAT LINES HERITAGE PARK IN GILLINGHAM

Litter picking at the Great Lines Heritage Park showcased LFS’ environmental stewardship and commitment to preserving natural ecosystems. By organising afternoons of litter picking, our team actively contributed to the cleanliness and health of the park. This activity aligns with our broader objective of minimising environmental footprints and promoting responsible waste management.

COLLIER ROW U11s

When we heard from Tom Livingstone, Operations Manager at LFS, that his son’s football team, Collier Row U11s, was looking for a sponsor, we were proud to step up. The team’s passion is evident, and that’s something we’re always looking to support at LFS.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

We want LFS to be a fun place to work. Not just because happy employees make for better business, but because we are a close-knit team which looks out for each other.

That’s why, whenever possible, we take the opportunity to recognise and reward our team. Whether that’s a Monday morning McDonald’s, hiring a coach and taking the team to see Tom Jones, celebrating Easter and St Patrick’s Day with egg/treasure hunts, or team building on International Women’s / Men’s Days.
