DU CANE COURT

Upgraded existing front entrance door sets (originally 1930's doors) to the required FD30 standard

Updated communal door sets to the required standard for smoke control

Installed concealed door closers, ironmongery and frame smoke seals

Internal trims removed, frames adjusted, intumescent mastic added to frame perimeter, ensuring gaps to perimeter of frame/leaf are 3mm (+/-1mm)

Planned an appointments schedule with the main contractor to complete 4 door upgrades per day

On completion of door upgrades to be compliant, LFS issued certification under BM Trada maintenance scheme
OLD FORD ESTATE

Carried out upgrade and renewal work to communal doors and internal front entrance doors to the bedrooms of a housing association building.

Building housed single homeless people aged 16-25 but became private rented accommodation in 2018.

Upgraded and renewed glazed and flush communal cross corridor doors in the building.

Upgraded and replaced veneer bedroom doors for the youth section.

Followed a detailed intrusive passive fire stopping survey to complete all firestopping in conjunction with the door renewal programme.

Worked closely with onsite staff to arrange appointments with residents.

At the end of this project, the client asked if we could assist in building a chicken coop for the centre’s garden. We attended and helped the residents to learn basic DIY skills through building the coop.
PEABODY AVENUE

Removal and installation of new fire doors including front entrance doors and communal riser doors across 21 residential blocks.

Removed and disposed of 224 front entrance doors and install new, certified fire doors.

Manufactured front doors as per residents’ choice of style and colour.

Replaced fanlights above all storey height doors with the residents’ choice of either a solid or glazed fanlight.

Kept up with the demand of appointments booked by LFS and Axis Europe of up to 10 door installs per day.

Removed 20 communal riser doors and replaced with new, certified fire doors in a uniform Peabody colour and locking system.
WALWORTH ESTATE

Installed new front entrance door sets, communal risers and loft hatches installed across 10 Victorian mansion blocks

Installed FD30 front entrance door sets with the necessary fire stopping to any wires penetrating the door set.

Installed riser cupboard door sets to every block, fitted with mul-T-Lock cylinders.

Installed FD60 loft hatches in every block.

Worked with the main contractor to produce doors to the residents’ varying design and colour choices.

Kept appointment schedule by the main contractor, installing up to 8 doors a day.

LFS created and tested a new door style (ST43) for the contract as per request from the main contractor.

Spread across 26 blocks, LFS had to compartmentalise and install fire protection in the void loft areas of the 1930's buildings.

Installed 127 Firefly Phoenix curtains, offering fire protection against the passage of fire and smoke.

Install 176 fire rated access panels in to the Firefly Phoenix curtains to allow access through the void areas.
-
Used Firetherm Intubatt and Intumastic to seal penetrations made from cables, pipes and cable trays.

Installed Promat Unicollar around pipes to maintain the integrity of the fire resistant elements through which various plastic pipes pass.
