We are all set up and ready to meet some of the most influential people in the Housing Sector today. Enhancing Housing Services 2018 will, today, be exploring reforms to the UK housing landscape and service delivery. We’re delighted to be here!

LFS Ready for Business at FIREX 2018

We are very excited to be hosting our own stand at FIREX this year. As well as showcasing our services within the passive fire industry we will be taking the opportunity to introduce PASSIFIRE, our new fire surveys app which will help clients take greater control of fire safety on their own sites. Come and see us on Stand A197!

LFS attending Enhancing Housing Services on July 4th

We are looking forward to attending the Enhanced Housing Services 2018 @HousingServ18 at Victoria Park Plaza on July 4th. As part of their coverage of the Fire Protection for the Social Housing Sector we will be introducing our new PASSIFIRE app and our Repairs & Maintenance Scheme.

Expansion of manufacturing capacity!

In response to a rapidly expanding customer base, London Fire Solutions have invested in an additional manufacturing unit close to their Head Office, near the Old Kent Road in South East London. This additional capacity boasts a range of specialist woodworking machinery including an SCM CNC Router, a fully lit spray room complete with a tracking system and drying tunnel.

The team at LFS are all skilled operatives who manufacture bespoke Fire & Enhanced Security Doors and Screens to the latest exacting standards and undertake repairs to the latest Approved Repair Techniques.

LFS lead the way in passive fire protection as they are able to offer a ‘one-stop’ service which includes the surveying, manufacturing, installation, certification and ongoing maintenance of fire doors and screens. With their own qualified Fire Door Inspector and more accreditations from industry leading bodies than their competitors, LFS are establishing themselves as the trusted provider across both the private and public sector.

Further works for Clarion Housing

Since being commissioned by Clarion Housing Group to undertake fire stopping and upgrade works at various residential sites we are successfully meeting challenging deadlines. So much so that we are delighted to be tasked with a further 70 lower storey blocks throughout London and the South East as well as the North of England. These extended works are due to complete with a 12 month period.

Works description:

Queen’s Court in Hampstead is a listed housing association building owned by Clarion Housing Group.

Due to this building’s historic pedigree the preservation society – Hampstead Garden Suburb https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1391092 has an interest in ensuring the building is preserved and that any new developments or building works are sensitive to the heritage of the building.

Clarion Housing Group needed to ensure the doors met fire safety standards and expected to remove the existing doors completely and have these replaced with new, fully compliant fire doors. However, the society wanted the new fire doors to be in keeping with the building’s heritage but this was proving difficult to provide.

LFS found a way to upgrade the existing doors, enabling them to be compliant and fully certified without them being changed for newer doors which might not have suited the appearance of the building. Consequently all parties concerned were happy with the solution.
